The Wild Rose: La Palma
La Palma is an island shaped by fire, water, wind, and Earth. Born from volcanic eruptions and softened by lush forests, wildflowers, and the vast Atlantic Ocean, it carries the wisdom of constant transformation. Here, nature grows untamed, resilient, and deeply rooted: much like the Wild Rose, whose beauty lies not in perfection but in her authenticity, strength, and ability to bloom wherever she is planted.
The Wild Rose reminds us that our own hearts are part of nature. Just as the island holds both volcanic power and grounding softness, we too contain both fierceness and gentleness, grief and joy, stillness and creative expression. Beneath it all lives an innate wildness: a deep connection to the Earth, to our bodies, and to the creative life force that moves through us. When we reconnect with this place within, we remember that we belong to the living world and that our true nature is already whole.
During this 5-day retreat, we will immerse ourselves in the elemental beauty of La Palma, allowing the island to guide us back into embodiment, presence, and connection. Through intuitive dance, yin yoga, voice awakening, sound journeys, flower wisdom, creative practices, and time spent in nature, we will awaken our senses and nourish the relationship with our bodies, the Earth, and one another.
The medicine of the Rose will accompany us throughout the retreat in the form of tea, stories, oils, and ritual, gently opening our hearts, inspiring creativity, and inviting us to soften into the beauty of being fully alive. Held by the volcanic landscapes, ancient forests, and ocean breeze of La Palma, we will remember the wisdom of the Wild Rose: to root deeply, bloom freely, and trust the natural unfolding of our own unique path.

The Rose: Flower of Feminine Power and Wisdom
Each full day of the retreat invites us into a different aspect of the Wild Rose, gently guiding us back to our innate connection with the Earth, our bodies, and our creative life force. Through movement, rest, ritual, music, and time in nature, we will remember what it feels like to be deeply rooted and fully alive.
Our first full day is dedicated to arriving. We slow down, soften, and begin listening: to the rhythms of the island, to the wisdom of our bodies, and to the quiet voice within. Through nourishing yin yoga, grounding practices, and a sound journey we create space to land fully in ourselves. Supported by the medicine of the Rose, sound, and silence, we begin opening the heart and awakening our senses.
On the second day, we explore the creative and untamed essence of the Wild Rose. Rooted in the volcanic Earth of La Palma, we connect with our vitality through intuitive dance, voice, song, and creative expression. We will work with clay and natural materials, create our own Rose medicine, and allow music, dance, and ritual to reconnect us with our instinctive, playful, and expressive nature. This is a day to honour the wisdom of the body and celebrate the joy of being fully alive.
Our final full day is an invitation to integrate. Through reflective practices, creative exploration, and immersion in the island's natural beauty, we weave together the experiences of the retreat. Together we will write, create, sing, and spend time in nature, allowing the elements of Earth and water to support a gentle process of release and renewal. We close our journey with a ritual that honours all we have remembered—our rootedness, our creativity, and the Wild Rose that continues to bloom within each of us.

Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the retreat price. We will provide a selection of recommended places to stay in and around the village Las Tricias, where Finca Tierra is located. Participants are encouraged to book their own accommodation through platforms such as Airbnb, allowing you to choose a stay that suits your preferences and budget. A variety of options and price ranges are available, from simple apartments to charming eco-retreats and guesthouses. We encourage you stay nearby to make it easy to share meals, connect, and fully immerse yourself in the retreat experience.

Jeska Onderwater
Jeska Onderwater is an artist, singer-songwriter, yoga teacher, creative workshop & ceremony leader. Fascinated by the beauty of the natural world, the magic of creative expression and the mysterious journey of life she creates her offerings from and for the heart.
In 2020 she started receiving dreams about Roses and Mary Magdalene which lead her on a pilgrimage through England, France, Egypt & Scotland. Her journey brought her to magical feminine power places and meetings with soulmates amongst which her life partner. It inspired her to start writing about her experiences, create new songs as well as include the magic of the Rose Path in her offerings.
Jeska has been sharing her music and creative guidance in yoga classes, festivals, retreats, workshops, concerts & ceremonies for the last 10 years. In deep attunement with the whispers of the Earth and those of her own heart she creates safe, loving spaces for deep remembering and creativity to flow through.
Lua Maria
Lua Maria is a singer-songwriter, mother & musician from the UK, living in Spain for the past 10 years, with most of those years based on the island of La Palma.
Growing up in the UK she spend her time immersed in nature and with animals. The connection with the plant & animal spirit world inspires her songwriting and also sparked her interest in plant-immersions, during which she connects deeply with the spirit of a specific plant for a period of time.
Lua dedicates her life to mothering, music & sound for healing and transformation. Whilst learning to live in a harmonious and respectful connection with earth, spirit, herself and humanity. Music is her way of weaving together the infinite and divine realms with the sacredness of all life, our magnificent Mother Earth, and the profound journey of the human experience.

How to get to Finca Tierra?
By plane/taxi:
After arriving at La Palma Airport, it is a 1,5 hour drive to the village of Las Tricias, where Finca Tierra is located. After communicating your flight details to Jeska, a travel schedule will be made to connect retreat participants so taxi rides can be shared. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport if you wish to explore the surroundings freely before, during and after the retreat.
By car/bus:
Finca Tierra is located just outside the village of Las Tricias, on the northwestern side of the island. There are buses from the airport to Las Tricias, a travel that takes you approximately 3 hours. We recommend renting a car if you wish for more freedom to move around the island, also when you choose accomodation outside of Las Tricias. Parking spots are available at Finca Tierra.

Arrival & Departure
You are welcome at Finca Tierra on Thursday October 22 from 6pm onwards for dinner at 7pm followed by the opening circle.
On Sunday October 25 we will close with a goodbye dinner until about 9pm. We recommend booking your accomodation from October 21 until October 26, so you have time to arrive and depart with spaciousness.
