Feel warmly invited for a magical women’s retreat from 10-14 April 2025,
in the mountains of Andalucia, Spain, guided by the heart & womb medicine of
the most ancient flower on earth, the Rose.
The Land of Venus: Andalucía
In Roman times, the region that is now Andalucia was part of the Roman Empire, in which Venus was widely worshipped as the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. There were temples dedicated to Venus in cities like Cadíz and not far from our retreat location an archeological investigation recently uncovered an ancient sculpture of Venus. She appears in mosaics and sculptures and nowadays is still visible in the form of Mother Mary who adopted many of Venus her characteristics when Christianity started dominating the Spanish Culture.
Both Mother Mary and Venus are linked to the Rose and there is an old myth about the creation of the red rose, telling of how Venus searched for her lover and in her haste pricked herself on the thorns of a white rose, resulting in that rose turning red. Much symbolism can be read into this story, yet what stands out is the way in which it emphasizes the human possibility of transforming pain into beauty, of turning grief into art. In this world of duality, we experience light and dark, joy and grief, yet underneath all those experiences there is an eternal rose blooming inside of our hearts, always there to soothe and bring us back to this sanctuary of love within.
During this 5-day retreat we will connect to this love through the stories of Venus and Mother Mary as well as other legendary women connected to the Rose, such as Mary Magdalene and Saint Anne. We will dive deep into the Earth of the Andalusian land and that of our own bodies by practicing intuitive dance, yin yoga, voice awakening, sound journeys, rose medicine making and other creative healing modalities. The medicine of the Rose will accompany us in the form of tea, stories and oil to awaken our hearts and wombs, bring renewal and open us up to the love available all around us.
The Rose: Flower of Feminine Power and Wisdom
On each full day of the retreat we will be working with a different color rose, to anchor its teachings and vibration into our body. On Friday - Venus Day- we will journey with The Pink Rose, which teaches about softness, forgiveness and compassion. The Pink Rose is here to help us learn to love ourselves and each other better. She invites us to soften and find inner peace, helping us to ground and feel safe and secure in the temple of our body. On this day we will connect deeply with our bodies by practicing soft yin yoga with sounds for the soul. In the afternoon we will dive into a nourishing Pink Rose ceremony with an intuitive dance and a Rose medicine sound journey.
Saturday will be The Red Rose day, connecting us with our embodied feminine essence expressed through our sensuality, passion and creativity. The Red Rose invites us into our wildness, our fire and our truth. During the day we will create our personal rose medicine and in the evening we will hold a Red Rose ceremony with a womb blessing ritual and Wild Rose Dance, embodying our truth through intuitive movement & song.
On Sunday we will work with the White Rose in connection with the energy of Mother Mary. The White Rose is all about innocence and clarity, illuminating what is hidden in the shadows so it can be transformed. It is the White Rose that guides us back to the purity of our hearts time and again, reminding us of our simultaneous divine ànd human nature. On Sunday we will open a creative writing circle in which we reflect upon our experiences and clarify our desires for the time to come. In the afternoon we will hike to the local river for a White Rose baptism in the clear waters, cleansing anything that does not serve us any longer so we can continue our path renewed.

Accommodation
We will be staying in the beautiful Tierra Cosmica Sanctuary, tucked away in the mountains of the Andalusian village of Monda. Tierra Cosmica is run by the wonderful Anne Marie & Benjamin and they have put a lot of love and care into every detail of the property. Meals will be prepared by Anne Marie & Benjamin as well from their many years of experience with
Pachamama Organic and will be enjoyed in the scenic garden room. Our indoor activities will be centered in The Temple, a magical space with a natural stone floor, fireplace and plenty of room to move, meditate and create. The swimming pool and garden offer different spots to relax, sunbathe and enjoy the view. Tierra Cosmica offers shared and private rooms with a shared bathroom. There are three accomodation options, you can choose to stay in a private room or a shared room with 1 or 2 other women.

Jeska Onderwater
Jeska Onderwater is an artist, singer-songwriter, yoga teacher, creative workshop & ceremony leader. Fascinated by the beauty of the natural world, the magic of creative expression and the mysterious journey of life she creates her offerings from and for the heart.
In 2020 she started receiving dreams about Roses and Mary Magdalene which lead her on a pilgrimage through England, France, Egypt & Scotland. Her journey brought her to magical feminine power places and meetings with soulmates amongst which her life partner. It inspired her to start writing a book, create new songs as well as include the magic of the Rose Path in her offerings.
Jeska has been sharing her music and creative guidance in yoga classes, festivals, retreats, workshops, concerts & ceremonies all over Europe for the last 10 years. In deep attunement with the whispers of the Earth and those of her own heart she creates safe, loving spaces for deep remembering and creativity to flow through.
Lua Maria
Lua Maria is a singer-songwriter, mother & musician from the UK, living in Spain for the past 10 years. Growing up in the UK she spend her time immersed in nature and with animals. The connection with the plant & animal spirit world inspires her songwriting and also sparked her interest in plant-immersions, during which she connects deeply with the spirit of a specific plant for a period of time.
Lua dedicates her life to mothering, music & sound for healing and transformation. Whilst learning to live in a harmonious and respectful connection with earth, spirit, herself and
humanity.
Music is her way of weaving together the infinite and divine realms with the sacredness of all life, our magnificent Mother Earth, and the profound journey of the human experience.

How to get to Tierra Cosmica?
By plane/taxi:
Flying into or traveling from Malaga is most convenient as it's only a 40-minute drive from Malaga airport to Monda by taxi. After communicating your flight details to Jeska, a travel schedule will be made to connect retreat participants so taxi rides can be shared.
By car:
Parking spots are available at the Tierra Cosmica retreat location.
